CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL

The meeting was called to order by President Abel at 9:00 A.m.
Those in attendance were:

Directors Absent:	Director Edmonston
Staff Present:	Fred Adjarian, General Manager Jerry Paley, Finance/Computer Specialist
Guests Present:	None

PUBLIC FORUM No members of the public were present.	SECTION 2
DISCUSSION ITEMS Proposed FY 2002-03 Cost-of-living adjustment The Board reviewed Manager Adjarian’s recommendation for cost-of-living adjustments for staff salaries. Following discussion, a motion was made by Director Puddicombe, seconded by Director Drewry, and unanimously carried to approve a 3.3% cost-of-living adjustment for all employees except the General Manager. REVIEW OF THE DRAFT MWD BUDGET FOR FY 2002/03; Board information Mr. Adjarian and Finance Specialist Paley reviewed various draft FY 2002-03 budget materials presented and answered questions from the Board. Proposed FY 2002-03 Budget Resolutions; Board information Mr. Adjarian briefly discussed with the Board the resolutions accompanying the proposed final FY 2002-03 Budget to be presented to the Board at its June 18, 2002 meeting. recess to closed session pursuant to government code section 54957 re: personnel matters — general manager’s annual performance review; The Board recessed to closed session at 11:45 a.m. to discuss the above-captioned item. The Board reconvened to open session at 12:55 p.m. It was moved by Director Puddicombe, seconded by Directory Drewry and passed unanimously that the General Manager’s total compensation be $115,000/ year as of July 1, 2002. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the MWD Board of Directors, the meeting was adjourned at 1:00 p.m.
