Mandated Water Conservation Programs

The United States Bureau of Reclamation (USBR), State of California Department of Water Resources (DWR) and the California Urban Water Conservation Council (CUWCC) require the District to have a formal water conservation plan, and to comply with the following fourteen Best Management Practices (BMP).

Conservation program for commercial, industrial and institutional accounts.

Wholesale agency assistance program.

11.

Conservation pricing.

12.

Conservation coordinator.

13.

Waste water prohibition regulations.

14.

Ultra low flow toilet rebate program.

Every five years, the District drafts a new water conservation plan for USBR and CUWCC, and an Urban Water Management Plan for DWR. Annually, the water conservation plan is updated for USBR and CUWCC.
