are ways to save or use water more efficiently?
Because water is such a precious
natural resource, it is important to use water wisely.
Since 70% of the Montecito’s water use is for
residential purposes, there are many ways in which
water can be used more efficiently. Here are just a
few ways to conserve or use water more efficiently:

Don't hose
off sidewalks but sweep them off. |

Use a hose
nozzle when washing a car. |

Water in the
early morning or late evening. |

Don't
overwater plants. |

Turn off
water faucets or hose bibs when not in use. |
| 6. |
Use a pool
cover when not in use. |
| 7. |
Wash only
full loads in the automatic dishwasher or
clothes washer. |

Shower for
less time or bathe with less water. |

Immediately
repair leak and/or plumbing problems. |

Replace high
water using plants with drought resistent types. |
