Here's to the Next 50 Years!
Water Supply Agreement Signing Ceremony
Please join us virtually to celebrate the execution of a Water Supply Agreement between the City of Santa Barbara and Montecito Water District. Made possible by the City's Charles E. Meyer Desalination Plant, this 50-year Agreement provides for regional collaboration in managing essential water resources. This brief (30 minutes) event will include a short commemorative video and be held on this year’s national Imagine a Day Without Water:

Capital Projects Nearing Completion
Water Meter Replacements
Montecito Water District's subcontractor Concord has completed work on their contract to replace all meters district-wide, approximately 4600 in total. The next phase of the project is implementing the "smart" aspect of the meters, which is targeted for early-mid 2021.
Water Main Replacements
The Santa Rosa Lane project replacing 1-mile of 100-year old water mains on Santa Rosa Lane from San Ysidro Road to San Leandro Lane is complete. A new slurry seal on the road, planned for November, is the final step.
The Fernald Point Water Main Replacement Project is also anticipated to wrap up this month!
